SMS Terms of Service

Overview

Scott Semple ("I," "me") operates a personal automation software platform that sends and receives SMS text messages using Twilio, a third-party messaging provider. The platform sends automated status and event notifications to the verified account owner (myself) and accepts SMS commands from that owner to trigger actions on the platform.

This service is not a public subscription, marketing list, or customer support line. It is not open for signup by other users.

Opt-In

Consumers opt in by texting the keyword START to the number above. This is a manual, affirmative action taken by the account owner from their own verified mobile device, before any automated messages are sent. Upon receipt of START, the platform replies with the consent confirmation message shown above. No messages are sent prior to receipt of this opt-in keyword.

Use of the Service

The platform sends automated notifications about events on my own systems and accepts commands sent back to those systems.
No other individuals are enrolled to send or receive messages through this service.
This service is not used for bulk messaging, marketing, or promotional campaigns.

Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on automated activity and is not fixed. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to any messages sent or received.

Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages from this number. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact privacy@scottsemple.com.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Twilio and mobile carriers are not responsible for the content of messages sent through this service.
